Speaking

Inspired by leaders like Brené Brown and Simon Sinek, I love sharing, motivating and educating. I have been blessed to grow through chapters of tremendous grief and tremendous joy, and I carry those lessons with me daily.

Mental health and mental fitness are topics that are very near to my heart, and I am passionate about bridging that gap for others. I enjoy sharing about leadership, emotional intelligence in the workplace, walking through grief and toxic environments, and how choosing joy while you're still crying can save your life.

What’s My Why?

These two women right here. USMC Captain Sarah Plummer Taylor and Captain Kate Hendricks Thomas.

Two groundbreaking, glass ceiling shattering women who believed in me when I was lost. Sarah has been my mentor for over 10 years and showed me what it looked like to lead from the front, in spite of the chaos around you and inside of you. She leads with grace and tenacity, and learning that balance has changed my life.

Kate changed my world in her own way, first by intimidating me (she was a force to be reckoned with) and then by showing me what it looked like to lead with grit and vigor.

Kate lost a 4 year battle with cancer in April of 2022. But not before she quite literally changed the world around her.

Both of these women have played massive roles in my life. They know where I started, and it's because of them that I am here today. I hope to honor them, and carry on both of their legacies.

Don’t worry if you don’t have the words. I do.
